Meet us

Johannes was born in Oudtshoorn, South Africa in 1967. He completed his schooling at Oudtshoorn High. He attended Stellenbosch University where he obtained a degree in Accountancy. At the University of South Africa he obtained an honours degree in Commerce. He joined Village & Life in 1994 after completing three years with Price Waterhouse Coopers and lives in Camps Bay with his wife Ilsebe and his three daughters, Mila, Kristi and Isabelle.

Karin has been in the hospitality industry for the last 7 years enjoying the interaction between guests and helping them make their stay one to remember.
She has lived in Camps Bay most of her life and loves the mountain, the sea and most of all the sunsets. Her home language is German which she speaks to her 3 children.
She is passionate about travel and loves to plot routes for the guests to follow to let them experience Cape Town to its fullest.

Leanda went to school and matriculated at Dr. Böhmer school in Bloemfontein. She attended Bloemfontein College after school, and also spent two years working and travelling abroad, in the UK, where she worked in some top notch hotels and lived in the famous Nottinghill. She has been with Village & Life since October 2008, and lives in Oranjezicht, and loves lazing in front of movies or being creative in the kitchen.

Sharon grew up in Bontehuewel and matriculated from Heideveld High School in 1999. In 2000 she completed her Hotel Management Course and completed 6 months of her practical training at the 12 Apostles Hotel. She joined Village & Life in 2005 as a housekeeper. Sharon is the eldest of 5 siblings, her hobbies are playing hockey, listening to music and also loves spending time with her 3 boys. 

Dickson grew up in Harare Zimbabwe where he attended Murewa Mission Boarding School for his primary and secondary schooling. After school he completed a Hotel and Catering course, he then worked for the Harare International Conference Centre as a chef assistant. Dickson relocated to South Africa in 2009 where he worked at Rootis Restaurant as a chef. He joined Village & Life in 2011. Dickson stays with his relatives in Woodstock and enjoys cooking.

Francois is married and has two daughters.  He has lived in Cape Town his entire life.  He loves the outdoors and every opportunity he can get he makes his way to The Cedarburg. He obtained his Trade diploma in Fitting & Turning (general maintenance) in 1981.  He then became a certified drafts man in 1995 and in 1999 he became a registered accredited outcome based educator. Francois previously worked for a well know Media company.
